Volvo V70 and XC70 pricing revised

Volvo cars importer, Motorcorp Distributors Ltd., has announced revised prices for the Volvo V70 estate and XC70 crossover vehicle launched last week.

The 3.2 litre six cylinder V70 station wagon will now sell for $69,990, a reduction of $5000 from that originally announced.

The XC70 with the same motor has also dropped $5000 to $79,990 from the original launch price, while the XC70 turbo diesel now has a recommended price of $82,990, instead of $84,990.

“We have been negotiating with Volvo over the pricing of the V70 and XC70 for some time,” said Mark Patterson, the General Manager of the Volvo Division of Motorcorp Distributors.

“Those discussions were not finalised at the time of the launch last week. We can now confirm the new pricing following the successful completion of the negotiations.”

Mr Patterson said the revised prices make the brand new models an even more attractive proposition. With high levels of standard equipment, comprehensive safety features and industry leading emission controls that meet the toughest European and American requirements, the value for money of the V70 and XC70 have been further enhanced.

All new V70s and XC70s will be sold at the new prices and any people who purchased the new cars at the prices initially announced at the launch last week will receive a rebate.
