Accor Acquires Christchurch Classic

Accor is to take over management of the Kingsgate Hotel Autolodge Christchurch from 7 December 2007, which will then be rebranded as All Seasons Christchurch.

The three star hotel has 74 rooms and suites over six floors and features an on-site restaurant and bar, indoor heated pool and two well appointed conference and functions rooms, catering for up to 160 delegates.

With the rebranding, the hotel will also later undergo a refurbishment to bring it up to date and in line with the All Seasons brand, part of Accor's global network, providing friendly, relaxed service and excellent value for money.

Vice President Accor New Zealand & Fiji, Paul Richardson, says Accor is excited to welcome the hotel into the New Zealand network.

"We are pleased to have taken over the management of this hotel, which we believe is a perfect fit for our popular All Seasons brand. The move has been made easier by working closely with the owners and partners the CP Group to ensure that we can achieve a common goal, which is to provide quality accommodation to both business and leisure travellers."

Located in Papanui Street in Merivale, the boutique-style All Seasons Christchurch is just five minutes from the city centre, and has a picturesque garden setting reminiscent of a vintage English manor. Hagley Park and Christchurch Casino and Arts Centre are located nearby, and All Seasons is within walking distance of cafes and restaurants, public transport, entertainment and cultural attractions, providing an ideal base to explore the Garden City. Just 15 minutes drive from Christchurch International Airport, the hotel also offers free onsite parking.
