Order for 70,000 Electricity-Saving Motors
Wellington Drive Technologies Ltd. (Wellington) advises that Hill Phoenix (Virginia, United States) has placed orders for 70,000 high-efficiency motors from Wellington's ECR range. The order covers initial commitments for 2008. The motors will be used in Hill Phoenix's refrigerated display case products sold to major retail chains, principally in the United States. Building on the successful introduction of Wellington's high-efficiency motors in Hill Phoenix's products in 2007, first announced to the market in November 2006, Hill Phoenix has increased its ECR requirements.
"High-efficiency motors have become a requirement in our industry" said Greg Weddle, Materials Director (Hill Phoenix). "Retailers are more conscious than ever of the energy consumption, and therefore operating costs, of the equipment they buy for their stores". Amongst other energy saving components, Hill also employs LED lighting and motion sensors to keep total product energy consumption to a minimum. "We are delighted to be building this partnership with the industry leading company" said Ross Green, CEO (Wellington) "and we look forward to continuing to expand the scope of application of ECR motors will Hill Phoenix".
