Upmarket Subdivision About To Take Shape

Media release for immediate use 31 October 2007

Upmarket Subdivision About To Take Shape

The waiting is over – earthworks are about to begin on an exclusive subdivision just north of Christchurch city.

Breton Oaks, near Northwood, is the newest residential subdivision to be developed with the mix of upmarket housing and nearby leisure activities in mind.

It’s being marketed by Simes, whose chief executive Layne Harwood says people have been waiting for the diggers to move in

“We’ve had a huge number of inquiries from people considering building there with five sites already sold, but others are waiting to see development begin,” he says.

“There’s only 10 sections available, they are a lifestyle and investment opportunity and will undoubtedly cost much more this time next year than they do now. Buyers who sign up now will buy at pre-development purchase prices and get the titles in the new year.

“Breton Oaks is close to six golf courses, the Waimakariri River, a variety of walking and cycling tracks, several shopping centres and the airport.

“The new homes will have beautiful oak trees around them, so there’ll be an established and stylish feel to the area,” says Mr Harwood.

The sections range in size from 615 to 740 square metres and have flexible building covenants over them to make sure the homes have individuality.
