A New Zealand first for Christchurch home loan provider and the Muslim community…
Christchurch based independent mortgage lender, Moorhouse Mortgages, has received a Fatwa, (an Islamic religious ruling) from FIANZ (The Federation of Islamic Associations of New Zealand Inc) that its Manzil Islamic Home Ownership Package is Halal, or approved and in accordance with Islamic religious principles.
Managing Director of Moorhouse Mortgages, Louise Ledger says: “We are very excited about obtaining the Fatwa. What it means for the New Zealand Muslim community is that they can now achieve the Kiwi dream of owning their own home with the peace-of-mind of knowing that the financing is totally compatible with their religious beliefs”.
“As part of our on going commitment to the Muslim community we have recently appointed Global Home Loans as the exclusive distributor and a Muslim, Farouk Shah, as Mortgage Executive specifically for this product.
We also have a Free Call number 0508 786 786 to handle enquiries from the Muslim community.”
