American Express appoints NZ Country Manager
Auckland, 4 October 2007 – American Express today announced the appointment of Sue Parkinson as New Zealand Country
Manager, and head of the market’s International Consumer and Small Business Services operations.
Ms Parkinson, a New Zealand national who lived in the United Kingdom for the past 18 years, recently relocated to
Auckland for the role. She will lead American Express’s consumer and small business card activities in New Zealand, as
well as chair the New Zealand executive team.

Ms Parkinson has extensive experience in multi-country strategic marketing and consulting and has worked for
organisations such as Coca-Cola, McKinsey and Company, Rank Hovis McDougall PLC and Nestle. Most recently she consulted
to international organisations on brand, marketing research and strategic planning.
