Franchise Expands With New Office
12 September 2007
A trio of some of Christchurch’s most
experienced real estate figures have recently opened their
fourth Harcourts office, which is based in Church Corner,
upper Riccarton.
The Harcourts Phoenix team led Bruce Lindsay, Dougal Boyd and Grant Chappell already have two sales offices and a property management office in Riccarton, with this fourth office part of a strategic growth plan to better serve the vibrant changing area of Church Corner.
With a real estate career spanning 20 years, and as a registered valuer, Mr Boyd’s extensive experience, combined with Mr Lindsay’s 17 years in property sales and management, and Mr Chappell’s high profile success as one of Christchurch’s best known luxury property marketers provides one of Harcourts’ most experienced business partnerships.
Mr Boyd is based in the new office as Branch Manager and he said while they have been open since early July, it took some time to secure what they felt were the right premises, before extensively revamping them to provide a high quality upmarket experience for visiting clients.
Harcourts Church Corner is in the former Resene premises on the main road in the hub of the retail area where Mr Boyd said surrounding businesses have also undertaken extensive make-overs to lift the profile of the area as a shopping destination.
With Harcourts Church Corner providing residential sales expertise with everything from ex-state homes (popular with property investors), through to first and second homes and million dollar plus in the area, Mr Boyd added one of their current focuses is to build the team of consultants to 14 to maximize the opportunities. And while the office has only just opened, he reports initial activity has exceeded expectation.
CEO of Harcourts New
Zealand, Bryan Thomson said, “Harcourts has long been the
dominant brand in Christchurch and it is exciting to see the
commitment of highly successful industry stalwarts like
Bruce Lindsay, Dougal Boyd and Grant Chappell continuing to
seek opportunities to drive their business forward, which
their new Church Corner office demonstrates. Their business
model and experience will be a credit to the dynamic and
growing Church Corner
community.”
