Fatso.Co.Nz Moves Towards Video On Demand
Fatso.co.nz, New Zealand’s leading online DVD rental service today announced the launch of a major new product/feature called ‘GetNowTM’ movies. Departing from the established method of online selection, where movie titles are added to a list for later delivery, GetNowTM will allow fatso customers to select the exact title they require and have it delivered in the next dispatch.
“We see this as the next step in the evolution towards Video on Demand” said Rob Berman, Managing Director of Westside Media Fatso’s parent company. “Our customers will gain the advantage of instant title selection, whilst maintaining the convenience of selecting their movies from the comfort of their own home.”
The movies are delivered to the customer’s door in the conventional DVD format that everyone is comfortable and familiar with.
Unlike other home entertainment options such as Sky Box Office, that offers a very limited selection and does not include the latest releases, fatso has over 16,000 titles to choose from. “We’re very pleased to say that GetNowTM is a world’s first in the online DVD rental market,” said Berman. “We pride ourselves in providing the best online DVD service in New Zealand, and to achieve that we are always committed to discovering new ways of using new technologies to improve the overall experience for our customers.”
The GetNowTMfeature is the first of several new developments in the works for Fatso in an on-going move to increase service efficiency and meet the customer’s demands.
