Scones turn tradition
on its head
Cheese, date or plain with jam and cheese
- what’s your favourite scone?
Whatever it is, it’s about to change. In an indulgent twist on tradition Bakers Delight has launched a luscious new range that will reignite the debate about what really is
New Zealand’s favourite scone.
There’s no debate that date and cheese scones are national treasures but thanks to the imagination of Bakers Delight bakers Kiwis now have three new delectable varieties to enjoy.
The gorgeous Sicilian scone is a must-have for savoury lovers, combining sun-dried tomato and parmesan for a taste of the Mediterranean. It’s perfect for a delicious bite on the go.
Moving from the Mediterranean to the tropics, Bakers Delight has created an exotic fruit scone. The scone combines a delicious blend of apple, dates, pear, peach, pineapple, paw paw and is topped with almonds for a delightful crunch. It’s ideal as a sweet mid-morning or afternoon snack.
Chocoholics will love the new Choc Mud Scone, jam-packed full of chocolate chips and cocoa. For the ultimate indulgence try warming it to melt the chocolate chips and serving with a big dollop of ice cream.
These three new flavours complement Bakers Delight’s already popular scone range, which includes plain, fruit and spinach, feta and pesto scones.
So will it be the sexy Sicilian, tropical exotic fruit or luscious choc mud scone that gets your vote as New Zealand’s new favourite? The mouth-watering new flavours are sure to get the taste buds tingling - but you be the judge!
Bakers Delight’s delicious range of scones are $1.50 each or $4.50 for a four-scone combo.
