380 Series III focuses on sports performance and styling
Sports styling and performance is the common denominator in the latest release of the Mitsubishi 380.

Over the next two months the Series III range, comprising the all new SX and GT-L models and the popular VR-X will be
available through Mitsubishi dealerships, with upgrades that enhance the car's sporting characteristics.
"The new range delivers a change of face for 380," said Mitsubishi Motors New Zealand's general manager of sales and
marketing, Peter Wilkins. "From the new base model SX through to the flagship GT-L we've specified features that will
provide drivers with a more performance focused package.
"Sports tuned suspension with a strut tower brace is standard across the range, which combined with 17" alloy wheels and
215/55 R17 tyres provide more accurate handling performance.
"Braking is delivered by 294mm front ventilated discs with twin pot callipers and rear 302mm ventilated discs with
single pot callipers. Traction control is standard ensuring each wheel receives the required power inputs," Mr Wilkins
said.
Up front the sport styling continues, sports bumpers with air dams and a new radiator grille distinguish the Series III
from the previous model. The VR-X and the GT-L incorporate mesh bumper insets and fog lamps are common across the range.
"The VR-X is the first of the new range available in New Zealand," said Mr Wilkins. "It features a prominent rear wing,
five spoke alloy wheels, power sunroof and 'VR-X' embroidered, silver stitched leather seats.
"The new luxury styled GT-L will be in showrooms shortly complete with a mobile hands-free Bluetooth system, power
sunroof, leather seat's with driver 10-way electric adjustment and eight-spoke 17" alloys. The GT-L retains the refined
rear trunk lid spoiler of the previous GT model and rear parking sensors.
"Available in early September, the base model SX offers a real step up from its ES predecessor, combining the same rear
wing as the VR-X variant, 17" six-spoke alloy wheels, the standard features of the range such as traction control and
sports suspension and inside there is an all new trim package and instrument panel," he said.
Recommended retail pricing for the range begins at $39,990 for the base SX, $46,990 for the sporty VR-X and $51,990 for
the luxury GT-L.
"The upgrades are an important evolution for 380, they deliver on a lot of the feedback we've received from the market.
The new look and features provide consumers with an excellent package for excellent value," said Mr Wilkins.
