Senior Managment Changes at Canon New Zealand

Craig Manson has been appointed to the position of managing director Canon New Zealand succeeding Tony Wills who has been promoted to the role of senior general manager – BISG Australia.

Prior to his appointment, Craig was national sales and marketing manager of Canon New Zealand’s Consumer Imaging Products Group.

In commenting on the changes Tony Wills says “In my three years as managing director of Canon New Zealand we undertook significant restructuring that was essential if the business was to grow. I know Craig will do an outstanding job in bedding in those changes and taking the company the next level.

“While it is disappointing to be leaving Canon New Zealand the opportunity to head up BISG in Australia is one that comes with a number of exciting challenges.”

Craig Manson believes Canon New Zealand is in a very strong position to move forward.

“We have great products, a great team and the right structure which is a credit to
Tony. I see my role as building on the platform he has created and ensuring Canon remains at the forefront of the markets in which it operates.

“While it is disappointing to see Tony leave, his expertise will not be lost to Canon New Zealand as he will remain on the Oceania Executive Committee, “said Manson.

The changes are effective Sept 3rdt 2007.
