Prime Ratings Go Into 'Top Gear'
The BBC's popular magazine-style motoring show, Top Gear, has become the overall highest rating individual show on PRIME Television, reaching a 6.9% for All People 5+, year-to-date.
The show which screens exclusively on PRIME at 7:30pm Sundays, took top rating honours in the All People 18 - 39 demographic last Sunday night (29/07/07), winning the time slot (based on all channels monitored by AGB Nielsen Media Research).
The popularity of Top Gear continues to grow each week, last Sunday capturing more viewers than both TVOne and TV3 news on the same evening. It also rated higher than TV2 and TV3 for All People 25-54 in the 7:30pm - 8:30pm time slot.
PRIME, the free to air channel wholly owned by SKY Television, is fast becoming a viewer favourite for Sunday night viewing, with its exclusive line up of Top Gear, documentary slot PRIME Presents and serial Weeds. The high viewership flowing through the main evening line up last Sunday, generating excellent ratings with a channel share of 19.9% for Males 25-54 for all three shows.
