TelstraClear mobile customers update

TelstraClear mobile customers update

Customers that buy mobile services from TelstraClear will continue to receive services as usual - they will not be automatically taken over by Vodafone.

Yesterday, Vodafone stated it would “assume direct control of customers” following the end of the agency agreement with TelstraClear.

TelstraClear Head of Wholesale Raymond O’Brien says this is misleading and has been unnecessarily upsetting and confusing for customers.

“Last week, Vodafone wrote to us insisting that we continue indefinitely to manage services for customers who have chosen to buy mobile services through TelstraClear. TelstraClear plans to do just that and respects that customers have the right to choose who they buy services from,” says Mr O’Brien.

Although the agency agreement has ended, Vodafone has assured customers that their services will not be disrupted.

Mr O’Brien says TelstraClear is now able to progress improved mobile services for customers.

“We expect to be able to announce our plans for mobile services within the next month and are advising our customers that they shouldn’t be forced into making any changes because services will continue as usual,” he says.
