More family adventures with Kumuka Worldwide
Auckland, 29 June 2007 – Family holidays have had a makeover at Kumuka Worldwide, with kids and adults alike travelling the world together to explore new cultures and experience the adventurous side of travel abroad.
Due to overwhelming response to Kumuka Worldwide’s new Family Adventures brochure released in February this year, Kumuka has introduced a number of new itineraries and destinations to its Family Adventures programme.
Kumuka Family Adventures specifically cater to the needs of youngsters by minimising long journeys and incorporating child friendly activities. Adults also enjoy the varied ways of experiencing the country and love the chance to discover new and wonderful activities with their children.
The new 10 day ‘Mekong, Mystery and Kingdoms’ tour priced at $1,830 per adult and $1,375 per child is a culture-packed tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. This tour is a great opportunity for the whole family to learn about ancient history and foreign cultures. Explore the Cu Chi Tunnels, the heart of the Mekong Delta and the famous Angkor temples of the ancient Cham civilisations. It is a fun-filled journey for adults and children alike, with swimming pools, sampan rides, cruises, temples, cycling and an optional Hot Air Balloon ride.
The popularity of Kumuka’s Family Adventures in Africa has led to the introduction of the new nine day ‘Giraffes, Elephants and Warriors’ in Kenya, home to Africa's Big 5 and the famous Masai tribes. Priced at $3,615 per adult and $2,965 per child this is a highly inclusive itinerary. On this action-packed tour families have the chance to feed giraffes, watch baby elephants at an elephant orphanage, meet Morani, an orphaned tamed black rhino, and visit a chimpanzee sanctuary. There are game drives included in Olpejeta Game Sanctuary, Samburu, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara.
Two new itineraries have also been introduced in Morocco. The new 12 day Souks, Berbers and Beaches priced at $1,655 per adult and $1,330 per child, offers families the variety of Morocco in a nutshell. Spend a day with a Berber family and take a mule trek to see the famous dinosaur tracks. The new Kasbahs, Camels and Deserts priced at $1,640 per adult and $1,315 per child is a 9 day itinerary and includes highlights such as a Sahara Desert Camel Trek and overnight stay at a Desert Camp and a visit to ‘The Gladiator’ film set.
More itineraries are to be added in the near future including new destinations, South Africa and Turkey.
For every person who books on a Kumuka Family Adventure a donation of $55 will be made to Unicef. Funds raised by Unicef from Kumuka will support various Unicef projects such as water sanitation in Asia, HIV and AID’s projects in Africa and education projects in South America.
