Export Forum not to be Missed.
You’ve seen him on TV3 60 Minutes and TV1 Border Patrol, now come and meet Davey Hughes, the man from SWAZI Apparel Ltd.
He will be speaking at a public forum in Greymouth as part of the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise Export Year.
His apparel range has evolved from his passion for the great outdoors and is 100% New Zealand made. The larger than life
Hughes will share some of his hilarious hunting stories, anecdotes and poetry when he hits Greymouth on Tuesday 3 July.
Joining Hughes on the export trail will be business champion Ken Stevens. Mr Stevens is the founder, owner and chairman
of Glidepath Ltd, a world leader in airport baggage handling and sorting systems and he has extensive and widely
recognized exporting expertise.
Export Year 2007 is a combined government-private sector initiative to increase the value of New Zealand’s exports and
aims to increase New Zealand’s long term export performance.
Mr Stevens says he wants to help create awareness of the value of exporting and what exporters contribute to New
Zealand. “I want to help leave this country in good hands, so my grandchildren have interesting and well-paid jobs when
they grow up.” He says that Government has a role to play in improving the country’s export performance, “but it is
crucial that the exporting and business community get behind the drive to increase our export base.”
These two diverse leaders in export will be in Greymouth on Tuesday 3rd July and will present to a public forum between
5.15pm and 7.30pm at the Ashley Hotel. The evening is being presented by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise and The West
Coast Development Trust and there will be no charge for admission. However, you must register your attendance by
