New Executive Manager For Film Auckland

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

The Film Auckland Board is pleased to welcome Michael Brook as our new Executive Manager.

Board Chairman Peter Rive says “Michael brings over 20 years of film industry experience to the role. Michael’s talents are plentiful; he has vast experience in production, financial management and sponsorship procurement. His extensive management knowledge coupled with his creative vision will see him excel at the helm of the Film Auckland Office”

Michael joins Film Auckland after 8 years as Manager of Auckland Operations for the New Zealand Film Archive.

“I’m thrilled to be working at Film Auckland,” says Michael

“I feel it’s of huge importance to the screen industry to have such an inspirational industry-led organization. I look forward to strengthening the many relationships Film Auckland has and continuing the drive for real business connections for the Auckland screen industry.”

Michael will officially commence at Film Auckland on 30th July 2007.

Peter Rive adds “The office will benefit hugely from the added resource. Not only will we have a full-time Executive Manager but Tash Christie and Adria Buckton will continue to support Film Auckland as co-ordinators for various Marketing Projects; we will have a team of talented individuals working with the board to deliver our growth objectives of the Screen Production MRI, for the artistic, cultural and employment benefits of the whole industry and the greater Auckland economy. ”
