AUCKLAND, New Zealand - June 7, 2007 Orion Health, a leading provider of clinical workflow and integration technology for the healthcare sector, has been named in a prestigious North American list of top 100 companies of healthcare IT providers for the second year in a row.

Healthcare Informatics Top 100 has ranked companies according to their 2006 healthcare IT revenue and notes New Zealand-based Orion Healthcare is included again at #77, reflecting its growth in line with health expenditure in the US.

Orion is growing at 40% year on year and is on track to reach $100m in revenue in 2009, according to CEO Ian McCrae.

Mr. McCrae says Orion has been a quiet achiever, especially in New Zealand.

"However, this is a great accolade for any company and acknowledges our strengths in the fast-growing and highly specialised North American market."

Mr. McCrae says this market alone is contributing to over 60% of Orion Health's revenues each year and he predicts it will double in size to provide the company with 100% year on year growth from that market in the short term.

Orion Health is now New Zealand's largest software exporter and is regarded internationally as a leading provider of health management systems.

The company has just secured a contract with Leicester 's hospitals in the UK to streamline access to millions of patient notes across three Acute Hospitals as well as contracts to manage the electronic health records for Vermont and Maine in the US.

The US Centre for Disease Control and national agriculture department also use Orion Health's Rhapsody software to track and respond to disease outbreaks such as mad cow disease and possible bioterrorism.
