BrewNZ 2007 Dates Announced

The Brewer's Guild of New Zealand is pleased to announce the dates for BrewNZ 2007, New Zealand's premier beer event.

This year's celebration of great beer will run from September 9th-12th, at Wellington's Shed 22, and will culminate in the BrewNZ Annual Awards Party on the evening of September 12th.

Entries for the beer awards can now be made and tickets for the Awards Party are also available until July 15th. Full details of both events are online at www.brewnz.co.nz.

"This year's BrewNZ marks the beginning of an exciting future for the event" says Brewer's Guild President and craft brewing icon Richard Emerson, "and also for the Brewers Guild in its efforts to convey our passion for our craft to the public." His comments refer to the Guild's recent purchase of the BrewNZ brand, which was previously privately-owned, with little input from the brewers themselves.

Run by brewers, for brewers, the Brewer's Guild of New Zealand is a non-profit incorporated society whose aims are:

- to provide a common voice for New Zealand's brewing industry
- to increase the awareness and appreciation of beer
- to educate brewers and consumers alike.
