Further Sales Success At CER
Statement made by David Warrick, Managing Director, CER Group Limited
• Additional sale lifts Certified Organics’ South Australia deal to $700,000
• NZ Nature reports 40% lift in April sales
Both of CER’s businesses have reported significant sales successes, further building on the Group’s recent momentum.
CER’s Certified Organics business has secured an additional $200,000 sale of its unique pine extract-based BioSeed Eradicator herbicide to the South Australian Government, which brings new season sales of the product to South Australia to $700,000.
The sale is further to the initial $500,000 deal with South Australia announced recently. This is the third consecutive year South Australia has elected to use the specialist herbicide to control the aggressive pest plant branched broomrape. Sales to South Australia in 2005 topped $300,000 and sales during 2006 topped $1m.
In addition, CER’s New Zealand Nature business has reported a 40% sales uplift in April 2007 compared to April 2006.
The April 2007 sales growth was driven by a near 50% increase in domestic sales over April 2006, thanks to the success of New Zealand Nature’s new Winter Supplement Catalogue, which has delivered increases in sales throughout the product range.
Earlier this week CER announced that it has signed a heads of agreement to acquire Australian company Vital Resource Management.
The CER Group also recently announced a Share Purchase Plan for current shareholders, which aims to raise up to NZ$3.5m. The capital raised will be used to further fuel the rapid development and growth of the CER Group.
