TelstraClear merges key corporate team with leading ICT company
TelstraClear has today announced the full merger of its Large Enterprise team, which serves the company’s key corporate clients, with its ICT subsidiary Sytec. The team has been renamed Enterprise and Government.
The team is jointly led by Mark Wilson, previously Head of Large Enterprises and John Bone, previously Head of Sytec.
Joint Head of Enterprise and Government Mark Wilson says the merger will allow the company to offer its New Zealand and trans-Tasman customers ‘one stop shop’ end-to-end solutions from the combined technology expertise of both businesses.
“The formation of Enterprise and Government is about creating simplicity in a complex environment. It gives us the ability to serve customers from the desktop to the network core, with one contact point for customers. We’re combining the two companies strengths, and increasing our end to end ICT capability.”
Mr Wilson, who joined TelstraClear from Telstra last August, says the changes will also result in more alignment with Telstra in Australia, reflecting the company’s leadership in trans-Tasman services.
“We can see huge benefits by closer alignment with Telstra, increasing our ability to leverage off them. The changes will equip us with the ability to better utilise their expertise to the benefit of trans-Tasman and New Zealand customers.
“The name change to Enterprise and Government also reflects our closer ties with Telstra, which also call its key corporate function Enterprise and Government.”
Joint Head of Enterprise and Government John Bone says that the merger is more than just a name.
“This is a full operations merger. We will operate as one business, providing service to one shared customer base to achieve one set of financial goals.”
The merger will be effective July 1 2007.
