North & South and Metro scoop Qantas Magazine Awards
North & South and Metro magazines scooped nine awards at the 2007 Qantas Media Awards announced in Wellington tonight. Both titles were also finalists for the Best News-stand Magazine.
North & South Senior Writer Mike White was named Magazine Feature Writer of the Year. Margot Butcher, North & South, Peter Malcouronne, Metro and North & South, and Amanda Cropp, North & South, were finalists for the award.
North & South also won Best Magazine Cover.
North & South and Metro writers were winners of a number of editorial award categories: Crime & Justice Mike White, North & South Environment & Conservation Margot Butcher, North & South Human Relations Sarah Lang, North & South Science & Technology Mike White, North & South Sport & Racing Bevan Rapson, Metro Tourism & Travel Amanda Cropp, North & South Freelance illustrator Anna Crichton won Best Editorial Graphics for an illustration published in Metro magazine.
Runwayreporter.co.nz was a finalist for Best Website Feature and Best Website Single Report.
