NZB Appoints New Bloodstock Representative
New Zealand Bloodstock has announced a new addition to its Bloodstock team with Danny Rolston joining John Cameron, Michael Kneebone and Guy Mulcaster as Bloodstock Representative from 1 June.
Danny will assist with pre-sale inspections and selections and help the company service local buyers and breeders. His area of responsibility will be north of the Auckland bridge, Coromandel, Bay of Plenty and Poverty Bay.
Danny has been with New Zealand Bloodstock's Insurance department since April 2004. Prior to that he rode more than 90 winners over five years as an apprentice and professional jockey in New Zealand and Australia and has worked in the racing stables of Godolphin in Dubai and the USA, Ben Cecil in California and both Roger James and Jenny Scott in New Zealand. In 2006 Danny rode the New Zealand horses entered in the Hong Kong Jockey Club International Sale in their pre-Sale breeze ups.
The bloodstock side of New Zealand Bloodstock's business has always been Danny's passion and he is excited about this opportunity. "I am really looking forward to getting out on the road, meeting clients and helping grow and develop the business and our business relationships from the bloodstock side. I already have some valuable experience working with the Insurance team for the past three years which will also help in my dealings with buyers and breeders in my new role."
New Zealand Bloodstock Marketing Manager Petrea Vela confirmed that new appointment is a bid to provide a better service to their local clients. "Our bloodstock agents have a big job trying to provide adequate assistance and advice to our local buyers and vendors right across the country and it is time to expand our bloodstock team to do that job better for our clients. With his previous experience and knowledge of the industry and NZB's business, Danny is the ideal addition to the team."
Bloomsbury Stud's manager Mark Lock will be replacing Danny at New Zealand Bloodstock Insurance from next Monday (14 May).
