Workbridge Chooses TelstraClear

TelstraClear today announced it has won the contract to upgrade Workbridge’s wide area network (WAN) and refresh its premise equipment in a three-year agreement.

TelstraClear’s Head of Small and Medium Enterprises, Brenda Stonestreet says Workbridge is future proofing their telecommunications infrastructure.

“We’ve won all their telecommunications business, which includes voice, data and mobiles. We’re upgrading networks, refreshing and managing equipment, providing Private IP/Frame Relay solutions, BizPlan calling plans, mobiles and helpdesk support,” says Ms Stonestreet.

“Workbridge will be able to access a network which will allow their communications to function as if their customers, suppliers and 28 branches were in the same building. It means a whole new level of speed, convenience and service when it comes to managing their telecommunications,” she says.

Workbridge Corporate Services and Finance Manager Mike McCowan says TelstraClear’s solution provides Workbridge with a number of opportunities.

“Private IP is a high-speed service that integrates voice, data and multi-media applications through a highly secure, scalable solution. What’s most important, is that it supports multimedia applications allowing Workbridge Inc to use technologies such as video conferencing for interviews and sign language interpretation,” he says

“Our new premise equipment will increase performance of the network infrastructure. TelstraClear has also invested capital in building some new network for the WAN and it’s all future proofed, allowing new technologies to be added at a later date,” he says.

“We have a six year track record with TelstraClear, so they understand our business and deliver. We get professional account support, adding value to the overall solution,” he says.

Mr McCowan says TelstraClear has already started work on the upgrade and it is due to be completed by April 2007.

Workbridge provides a professional employment service for people with all types of disabilities. They also administer support funding on behalf of the Ministry of Social Development.
