New Zealand’s Worst Website for sale

New Zealand’s self styled worst website today went on sale at Trademe.
www.onlyinnz.com listing itself under the heading of “NZ’s most useless website - A year of my life wasted‘ has
requested bidding commence at NZ$ 3,500.
In what has to be one of the most earnest auctions ever seen on Trademe, the owner of onlyinnz.com, an advertising
website that lists among its advertisers Orana Park, Wellington Zoo and The Christchurch Art Gallery, has admitted that
the year old site has disappointed, as evidenced by the following extract.
Quote - Almost one year ago (in my stupidity) I came up with this website as a good way of making a living from home
-BOY WAS I EVER WRONG . The concept was to give NZ advertisers a Front Page ad on what I hoped would become an iconic
Kiwi website - made a lot more sense to me than being tucked away on page 37 of some obscure search engine. I mean, type
in b in Nelson and you will come up with hundreds of the damned things on a normal search engine but on my page there’s 2
(mostly because the rest of them aren't interested and one year later I can't say I blame them). Do not believe all the
other ads for websites that tell you all it needs is a bit of investment and time - RUBBISH - its a BOTTOMLESS PIT I
tell you . May as well chuck the money on the fir . Unquote
The listing continues in much the same vein throughout even mentioning a NZ$ 50,000 daily contest that upon being
interviewed by his local newspaper for publicity was passed over in favor of a missing cat. Seems like all you budding
website entrepreneurs have been warned.
