Fonterra: Final reminder to Shareholders to vote

16 March 2006

Final reminder to Shareholders to vote in Fonterra Shareholders' Council Elections

With less than one week of voting remaining in the Fonterra Shareholders' Council 2007 elections, almost 35 percent of votes have already been cast.

Voting closes at midday on Thursday 22 March 2007 and time now only allows for shareholders to vote by fax or internet.

"I remind shareholders to take this opportunity to exercise their right to vote as soon as possible and have a say," says Returning Officer Warwick Lampp.

"Any shareholder who has lost or has not received their voting pack, should contact me immediately on the Election Hotline - free phone 0508 666 446 for a replacement."

On-line secure voting through Fencepost.com is being used again this year with internet voting proving to be as popular as fax votes. "On-line voting is a better option for those last minute voters as it doesn't delay the vote counting," says Mr Lampp.

The five wards where elections are being held are as follows:

Ward
Candidate
7 Coromandel
Warren Campbell
Dirk Sieling

11 Western Bay of Plenty
Murray Linton
Allan Titchmarsh

14 Te Awamutu
Kevin Ferris
Greg Glover

30 Northern Canterbury
Gail Woods
Geoff Stevenson

33 Otago
Grant Scott
Ad Bekkers

Election results will be announced by media release on Fencepost.com on Thursday 22 March. All shareholders will then be advised of the election results in a letter from the Board Chair.

Any queries regarding the election should be directed to the Election Hotline on free phone 0508 666 446.
