Welcome to the March 15 edition of the BNZ Weekly Overview.

There have been no major data releases over the past week but the NZD has risen back above 69 cents as investors have become slightly less worried about peripheral currencies like the NZD. Wholesale interest rates have however moved up over the week in response to the smattering of firm data releases and renewed expectations that the Reserve Bank may need to raise the official cash rate again.
