Cadmus Signs Up To Better By Design Programme

Auckland, 12 March 2007 - Advanced payment solutions company, Cadmus Technology Limited (NZX: CTL) says that it has been successful in being accepted as an entrant into New Zealand Trade and Enterprise's Better by Design programme.

In 2006 Cadmus Technology won a Gold Medal at the Plastics Industry Design Awards for its range of EFTPOS terminals in the Consumer Products Category. The 2006 Plastics Industry Biennial Design Awards were presented by Prime Minister Helen Clark and acknowledge and promote excellence in the creation, design, production, manufacture and marketing of plastic products.

Other companies that have been accepted as Better by Design entrants include Orion Health, MCK Metals Pacific, Nutralife Health & Fitness and McKay Electrical.

Ian Bailey, Managing Director of Cadmus Technology says that acceptance into the Better by Design programme was a privilege for the Company which has always invested considerable energy and resources into design and R&D as a core part of its competitive advantage.

"Cadmus has most of its markets outside of New Zealand and so not surprisingly is the largest manufacturer and exporter of payment terminals in the country. Better by Design provides an excellent opportunity for Cadmus to take part in a programme that will assist us even more in ways to increase our exporting potential through the continued and enhanced use of design in our payment solutions products," says Bailey.

Together, the assessment and planning stages add value to businesses like Cadmus by providing the benefits of an impartial strategic review and mentoring from an independent team of design experts as well as ongoing support from the Better by Design team." says Thomson.
