2007 Technology Benchmarking Study Launched Today

2007 Technology Benchmarking Study Launched Today

Sunday 11 March 2007

Many businesses using IT in the Asia Pacific region could benefit from using the 2007 Technology Benchmark study, just released by Reset Group, a leading Australasian benchmarking firm.

Reset Group launched the 2007 Technology Benchmarking Study today. The study allows organisations to compare their IT performance against their competitors and wider IT users to identify weaknesses in IT operations.

Chris Bishop, the global benchmarking director, said, “In today’s environment, businesses still don’t know how effectively they spend their IT budget and can’t justify the expense of technology to aid their business.”

“This benchmark study allows businesses to anonymously compare themselves against business of a similar size, industry and location. This allows them to evaluate themselves against their competitors, quantify areas of differences, and provide a fact-based foundation upon which strategic IT investment can be made.”

The study assesses participants’ performance across staffing levels, budget, application development and maintenance, user support, and security.

“The unique aspect of the 2007 Technology Benchmark Study is businesses can easily compare themselves using an online report. This means that there is no need to analyse piles of report pages to get meaningful answers.”

The study involves businesses entering their data into a secure database at resetgroup.com where it is analysed by Reset Group. Participants are able to view their relative performance reports online. Businesses also have the ability to view their performance over a 12 month period as more businesses supply their data.

Since 2003, over 100 Australasian companies have participated in Reset’s benchmark studies including financial and accounting, human resources, public sector accountability and healthcare services.
