Voting in Fonterra Shareholders' Council 2007 Elections steady to date

Fonterra shareholders are urged to get their votes in for the Fonterra elections.

Voting for the Fonterra Shareholders' Council 2007 Elections closes at midday on Thursday 22 March 2007.

Returning Officer Warwick Lampp said that after one week of voting 10 per cent of potential votes had been received.

"All shareholders should take this opportunity to exercise their right to vote and have a say," says Mr Lampp.

"Shareholders should have received their voting packs by now. Any shareholder who hasn't received a voting pack should contact me immediately for a replacement."

On-line secure voting through Fencepost.com is again available for these elections. Postal voting and fax voting can also be used.

Election results will be announced by media release on Fencepost.com on Thursday 22 March. All shareholders will then be advised of the election results in a letter from the Board Chair.
