New head for Bayer’s NZ Consumer Care division

Auckland, 5 March, 2007 Bayer New Zealand Ltd has appointed Heiko Petersen as country division head of its OTC Consumer Care division.

Petersen, who will be based in Bayer’s Auckland office, has been with Bayer for eight years and previously worked in Bayer’s Consumer Care head office in Leverkusen, Germany.

He has a broad range of international experience, including working for Bayer in Latin America and Europe in the areas of supply chain, sales and marketing.

Before moving to New Zealand, he was a senior brand manager for Bayer Germany’s gastro intestinal range of products where under his direction brands such as Rennie and Talcid grew faster than market.

Petersen says he is looking forward to the challenge of growing Bayer’s OTC business in New Zealand, particularly its key brands Berocca®, Canesten®, Elevit®, Novalac® and Bepanthen®.
