Performance in its Purest Form: M Sport Models now available for the complete BMW 1, 3 & 5 Series range

The BMW 1, 3 and 5 Series range gets a style and sport-injection with new BMW M Sport models for 2007.

M Sport BMW vehicles are the flagship models of each range and are traditionally a popular choice for BMW buyers who enjoy the motor-sport heritage of BMW.

The M Sport model line-up for BMW in 2007 has now been completed with the arrival of M Sport 3 Series Coupé and convertible models from March 2007.

Unlike other premium cars offered in New Zealand BMW offer an M Sport model for all engine variants, M Sports Cars come with a raft of additional equipment as standard. An Aerodynamic body styling-package gives the cars an exciting sporting look and with the addition of BMW Individual High-Gloss Satin Chrome exterior trims this gives the car a truly sporting and striking exterior.

The M Sports Suspension together with M light-alloy wheels which are only available on M Sport cars serves to convey the superior drive power of the engine to the road in dynamic style, lowering the entire car by 15 millimetres.

Inside the M Sport cars, the dynamic driving experience is further accentuated by BMW sports seats, specific interior trim, an M leather steering wheel, M door entry sills and BMW Individual roof lining in anthracite (not on the BMW 3 Series Convertible).

The BMW M Sport models are offered in the standard colour range and for no additional cost they can be ordered with a model specific metallic M-Paintwork.

1 Series - M Sport

The 1 Series BMW M Sport is available in the entry level 116i M Sport through to the high revving 195kw 130i M Sport. All models can be ordered in two different specification levels, ‘Business’ and ‘Special Equipment’. Even though the overall specification levels vary each M Sport model has identical M Sport content giving the driver the M experience no matter which engine variant they choose.

3 Series - M Sport

The BMW 3 Series M Sport 4-cylinder range can also be ordered in the ‘Business’ or ‘Special Equipment’ specification levels, whilst the 6-cylinder models are available in the ‘Special Equipment’ guise. Each model has identical M Sport content. The highlights of the 3 Series M Sport are:

- M Aerodynamics package
- M Sports suspension
- BMW Individual high-gloss Satin Chrome
- M light-alloy wheels double spoke M with mixed tyres (17” or 18” depending on engine variant)
- Blue Shadow'/Alcantara cloth seats for Business specification models and Dakota leather for Special Equipment models
- Interior trim finishers Aluminium, finely brushed lengthwise
- BMW Individual headliner in anthracite
- Fog lights
- BMW Sport seats for driver and front passenger
- M leather steering wheel
- Door sill finishers with M badge
- Gearshift lever 'Short-shifter' and handbrake grip in leather 'Aero', M badge for manual transmission.
- All engine versions with exhaust-tailpipe chrome finishers

5 Series - M Sport

The BMW 5 Series M Sport 525i, 530i and 530d are available as a ‘Business’ or ‘Special Equipment’ variants, whilst the 535d and 550i models are only available with the ‘Special Equipment’ level of specification. The highlights of the 5 Series M Sport are:

- M Aerodynamics package
- M Sports suspension
- M light-alloy wheels
- BMW Individual high-gloss Satin Chrome
- BMW Individual headliner anthracite
- BMW Sport seats for driver and front passenger
- M Leather steering wheel
- M Door sill finishers

- Business models come with Cloth/leather combination seats whilst all Special Equipment models enjoy the luxury feeling of Dakota leather
