MEDIA RELEASE
New Owner, New Location and New Direction for Harveys Whangarei
Former Temuka property identity Vanessa Beirne has never been one to shy away from a challenge. Vanessa has been
involved in the Real Estate industry for 15 years and when the opportunity arose to take over an office at the other end
of the country she jumped at it.
“I was looking for change and I am delighted to be in Whangarei and to have been offered this opportunity,” she says.
“Now that I’m here, I am determined to make the most of it.”
Vanessa has welcomed the support offered by Harveys HQ and, in particular, the assistance of her co-owners Greg
Allen-Baines and Viv Wyatt from Harveys Warkworth. “Their local knowledge and extensive real estate experience in a new
market has quickly proved invaluable.”
One of her first initiatives since taking over the office from long-time Northland real estate identity Noelene Dean,
who has retained ownership of Harveys Kaikohe, is to relocate the Whangarei office.
The move into their newly fitted offices on Vine Street, five minutes from their existing office, is set down for 31
March. “There’ll be more than just new signage put in place at the new Vine Street office,” says Vanessa. “While our
offices’ have clearly already established winning formulas, we are looking to step up the business through offering more
efficient services to our clients.
“We have new marketing ideas, new systems and a new approach that will make the sales process easier for both buyers and
sellers,” she says.
“The team here is fantastic and we are all looking forward to building an even better, new and exciting Harveys
Whangarei,” she says.
At present she has a team of nine sales people and Vanessa is looking to employ more. “I’m currently very focused and
committed to the sales team, as they are first and foremost the competitive advantage this office needs to thrive,” she
says.
Vanessa says the opportunity before her, to meet the needs of this prosperous real estate market, is one that she faces
with both excitement and diligence. “I’m looking forward to working in this new environment, to building a strong
partnership with the region and to seeing it continue to flourish,” she says.
