Queenstown proves a rewarding destination
Sharing an unforgettable alpine experience is the driver behind Crowne Plaza Queenstown’s newly launched conference and meetings scheme.
Until the end of this year the hotel will offer a $1,000 bonus for any conference or event booked and consumed within the year, to the value of $10,000 or more.
Events valued at $5,000 or more are accompanied by a $500 reward.
Those making the booking can choose to use the reward for a weekend escape for themselves, or cash-in the $1,000 for meeting extras including cocktail parties and themed break-out functions for their delegates.
“Knowing that our clients differ in their approach to selecting a conference or meeting location, we’ve developed a flexible Conference & Incentive product and tailored bonus scheme to match,” said Julie Jolley, Business Development Manager at Crowne Plaza Queenstown.
“The option of either a personal or corporate reward means the individual planning the event, or the company they’re booking on behalf of, can select exactly where to direct the added value.”
Crowne Plaza Queenstown features a large conference floor with four meeting rooms, each with natural light and advanced technology including touch-screen controls activating surround sound, drop-down AV screens, intelligent lighting and air conditioning. Ergonomic seating is provided in all rooms and the entire conference floor has wireless internet access.
“We consider ourselves a partner to our clients during their conference and stay. We’re much more than simply a venue, which is borne out in the dedicated role that Karen Whittaker, our Crowne Meetings Director, plays,” said Ms Jolley.
The hotel is committed to ensuring Meetings Success™ by providing a series of unique services. As a single point of contact for conferences at the hotel, Ms Whittaker responds around the clock to last minute changes, unique delegate requests and post-meeting follow-up.
A two-hour turnaround response to all conference enquiries is guaranteed and the hotel’s Bedside Shopping Menu ensures every eventuality is catered for by offering local power adaptors, CDs and memory flash sticks. A Meet and Eat service is also provided.
“The reward scheme doesn’t limit the conference booker to stay with us in Queenstown, but we think they’ll be hard-pushed to find a more stunning, vibrant and fun location in Australasia. We’re clearly a little biased because this is our home and we love showcasing it to visitors,” said Ms Jolley.
With its lake-front location Crowne Plaza truly is the place to meet in Queenstown. The hotel guarantees spectacular views over Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables and a two minute stroll to the heart of the action-packed, buzzing resort town.
Crowne Plaza is located on Beach Street, opposite Steamer Wharf in Queenstown.
