Opening Day in Papamoa for Brand New AMI Local Branch

Today AMI Insurance has opened its newest local branch in the Tauranga suburb of Papamoa.

“Papamoa is Tauranga’s fastest growing suburb having expanded by 40% since 2001. Like Papamoa, AMI is on a roll and growing. Given Papamoa’s rapid growth, this was somewhere AMI just had to have a presence and we are looking forward to taking AMI into the heart of another community.” said AMI Chief Executive, John Balmforth.

The new branch, fully fitted out in AMI’s new branding, is located at 8 Girven Road, Bayfair.

The Bayfair branch becomes AMI’s 71st local branch. Our branches are the backbone of the company and we have kept investing in our local branches and local staff while other insurers have closed branches. In the Bayof Plenty AMI Insurancehas company staffed branches in Rotoroa, Taupo ,Tauranga and Whakatane says Mr Balmforth.

“Local branches like our new Bayfair Branch are the heart of AMI’s business. Customers regularly tell us they prefer to do business in-person because they get to know a local face who is there to help from simple questions to the efficient processing of claims.

“Branches also make us easily accessible for customers and our staff become a part of the community. When it comes to responding quickly to floods, storms and other major weather incidents, such as those that recently occurred in Tauranga and Matata,” said Mr Balmforth.

AMI will be celebrating its commitment to Tauranga by becoming a key sponsor of the Tauranga District Council ‘kids on feet’ walking school bus programme. The Tauranga District Walking School Bus programme involves approximately 1300 children and 500 adult volunteers. Together they make up a total of 250 Walking School Bus routes within the Tauranga district; this includes 2 in the Papamoa region.

“AMI is pleased to help improve the safety and motivation of the Walking School Bus volunteers by providing them with safety visibility vests and incentive packs” says Mr Balmforth.

“Putting our customers at the centre of our business and delivering outstanding Customer Care remains the focus of what we do. Taking AMI into the heart of another community is our way of showing the Bayof Plentythat we are going the extra smile” said Mr Balmforth.
