Older Subarus Rate Highly In Quality And Reliability
Subaru’s Forester and Legacy have ranked highly in a German survey of reliability and quality.
The AutoBild TUV Auto-Report 2007 is based on more than seven million car inspections.
In the “4 to 5 year old cars” category, Forester ranked second only to the Porsche 996.
The ranking is considered especially strong given Forester’s off road usage too.
In the “10 to 11 year-old” category, the Subaru Legacy came in fourth place.
Subaru models have traditionally ranked strongly in the AutoBild surveys.
Jens Becker, Managing Director of Subaru Germany, said: “The product quality is crucial for the success of a brand, and Subaru is a benchmark.”
Closer to home, Subaru was rated the best new car brand for quality and reliability in the AA/JD Power Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction survey of the New Zealand market in 2006 – nudging out Honda and Toyota for the top spot.
