Caltex extends successful supermarket voucher
redemption offer
to 31 March
AUCKLAND, New Zealand, 2 February 2007 Chevron New Zealand, which markets fuel through 300 Caltex service stations nationally, has announced a two-month extension to its "Yep, yes and yeah" fuel discount supermarket voucher promotion, following an unexpectedly high level of consumer response.
Chevron New Zealand Country Chairman Nick Hannan said the offer was designed to "level the playing field somewhat" for consumers by ensuring both Foodstuffs and Progressive supermarket chain fuel discount vouchers would be redeemed for up to four cents a litre at Caltex service stations throughout the country.
Mr Hannan said the simplicity of the Caltex offer was the reason for its popularity.
"Customers didn't have to work out which voucher applied to which service station, then hunt out the right brand, because we said we'd take either and give them a straight four cents off. Our customers have voted at the petrol pump; they've told us they enjoy the freedom and simplicity of our offer and they want it to continue, so we're extending it until the end of March."
