Management appointments at Harcourts

1 February 2007

Two significant management appointments have recently been announced within one of Harcourts’ most successful and largest franchises, the Harcourts Mana-Kapiti-Horowhenua group in Wellington. The well known Colin Dick has been welcomed as General Manager of the Franchise, while Wellington entrepreneur Jason Carr has joined as the Franchise’s new Business Development Manager.

Directors of the Franchise, Eliot Falconer, Mick Robbers and Stuart Pescini between them have just on 70 years of industry experience and are principal shareholders in 11 Harcourts offices in Wellington, including 135 sales consultants. The offices are in Levin, Otaki, Waikanae, Paraparaumu, Paremata, Whitby, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Silverstream, Miramar and Khandallah.

Mr Falconer said that while growing the strength of the brand had always been a focus, following recent growth with the addition of new offices, they made a strategic decision to instigate the two key appointments to enhance the level of service and professionalism within the business. Having identified the exceptional level of support and quality of the systems and training the Harcourts Group provided, putting the right management structure in place to maximise the opportunities was identified as a crucial next step.

Colin Dick brings huge industry knowledge and 18 years of experience to the role having achieved significant industry milestones in former roles as Regional Manager and National Rural Manager for Harcourts New Zealand. Most recently running his own consultancy business as a strategic business professional, Mr Dick’s focus is on optimising the systems and attention to detail to provide consistently exceptional service to Harcourts Mana-Kapiti-Horowhenua’s team and clients.

Jason Carr has owned businesses outside of the real estate industry and brings a combination of strong business experience and entrepreneurship to his role. Mr Carr’s focus is on the business planning disciplines and includes working closely with the 11 Sales Managers to assist with productivity and overall support.

With the new structure in place, Mr Falconer said they are looking forward to seeing their business further build an “unquestionable reputation for delivering the best skills and service within the real estate industry in New Zealand”.
