Skycity Offers Romantic Indulgence This Valentines Day

SKYCITY has a range of special offers this February especially for Valentines Day.

Customers can enjoy a romantic night in five-star luxury at the SKYCITY Grand Hotel. The special offer of $265.00 + gst includes a night in the premium hotel (selected by Bill Clinton, Charlize Theron, Pavarotti and Russell Crowe to name a few), a bottle of Moet champagne and an indulgent chocolate platter on arrival. *

SKYCITY's restaurants and bars are also preparing for the special night of romance.

Love will be in the air at Sky Tower's Orbit revolving restaurant, which still has limited spaces for Valentines Day dinner, with a special four-course degustation menu for $90, including a complimentary glass of bubbles with dessert. (See menu attached).

SKYCITY Food and Beverage manager Brendan Turner, says traditionally Orbit is a popular venue for intimate occasions.

"With superb cuisine and views, Orbit is extremely popular for romantic dining and especially on Valentines Day where it books up fast.

"We have had numerous weddings and proposals at Orbit - some people have even proposed on Valentine's Day in the past," he says.

Bar3, The Observatory (Sky Tower) and Sky Lounge (Sky Tower), have prepared a celebratory champagne cocktail especially for 14 February; dine by peter Gordon will feature it's Perrier Jouet champagne, a complimentary amuse, sorbet and boxed truffle for all diners; Bellota will feature Cava (popular Spanish bubbly).

In time for Valentines Day, The Observatory is also introducing a special Clevedon Oyster plated entrée, available from next week (29 January 2007).

All SKYCITY restaurants will provide complimentary chocolates to diners on Valentines Day (either individually wrapped red chocolate hearts or the truffles at dine).
