AMP Capital Investors enters new phase
AMP Capital Investors (New Zealand) Limited ("AMP Capital") has announced that its Managing Director, Catherine Savage will leave the business on the 2nd March 2007.
Catherine Savage has been with AMP Capital for over 12 years, the last six as Managing Director. During that time, as a business, AMP Capital has strengthened its investment expertise and actively sought new investment opportunities through acquiring existing businesses in the market, including the successful takeover of Capital Properties and the acquisition of Summerset Retirement Villages. The business has also launched many new products to meet investors' growing appetite for innovative investment options. As a result AMP Capital is ready to enter a new phase of consolidation and growth in 2007 and beyond.
"It now feels like the right time for me to pursue new challenges in my life. I still feel passionate about AMP Capital, the people who work in the business and, of course, our clients who are the focus of everything we do, but it's time for me to enter the next stage of my working life.
"I'm passionate about New Zealand's economic success on the world stage and I'm keen to become involved in investments that will play a role in helping New Zealand achieve its potential.
"I also want to continue to contribute to the broader business and social communities through staying involved with many of the business and community organisations that I'm involved with today, such as The NZ Institute, The Enterprise New Zealand Trust and the YWCA Future Leaders Programme," said Ms Savage.
Stephen Dunne, Managing Director of AMP Capital Investors Group, based in Sydney, is committed to finding a replacement Managing Director for the New Zealand business who will be focused on continuing to grow the New Zealand business through ensuring AMP Capital meets the needs of its clients and delivers strong investment performance.
