Woosh removes excess usage charges on broadband plans
After listening to feedback from their customers, Woosh has today removed excess usage charges on both their wireless and wired (ADSL) broadband plans .
This means that Woosh customers will no longer be automatically charged for exceeding their broadband data allowance, giving more price certainty and peace of mind for Woosh broadband users.
Previously, customers on the Entry and Launch plans were charged at 6c per Megabyte (MB) once they exceeded the data allowance.
From today, Woosh customers who are close to reaching their data allowance will have their connection speed reduced to dial up. An email will be sent out letting them know when they are close to their limit. Customers will not be charged extra unless they choose to top up.
Nick Clarke, Marketing Director for Woosh says, “We listened carefully to feedback from our customers, and spoke to dial up users who were looking to get onto broadband for the first time. The key barrier we identified was the uncertainty on what they would be charged. Our new pricing structure now means that customers never need to worry about the bill they’ll get at the end of the month, even on our smallest plan.”
