New Managing Director For St Laurence Australia
Australasian investment and finance group St Laurence today announced the appointment of a new managing director to head
its Australian operations.
Bruce Munday has joined the Sydney-based team of St Laurence Australia to drive the company’s growth in property-backed
lending.
Mr Munday has had an extensive career in property and mezzanine finance, and most recently was Portfolio Manager for
Mezzanine Finance at Perpetual Investments in Australia. In this role Mr Munday established Perpetual’s Mezzanine
Mortgage Fund, and also managed the construction and development portfolio in the company’s First Mortgage Fund. Prior
to that Bruce has held senior property and corporate finance positions in Capital Finance Australia and the Bank of
Singapore / OCBC Bank.
St Laurence group managing director Kevin Podmore said it was pleasing to see that high calibre applicants were being
attracted to the growing St Laurence Australia business. Mr Podmore said, “We are delighted to have made this
appointment and Bruce’s significant experience will be invaluable in growing our property lending portfolio.”
St Laurence entered the Australian market in 2001 and provides mezzanine and first mortgage property backed lending,
including for development and investment purposes, and also markets selected direct property investments and a first
mortgage fund.
