New, Aviation Tourism Travel and Museum Careers DVD resource, produced by ATTTO.
The Aviation, Tourism & Travel Training Organisation (ATTTO) has recently developed a new DVD resource for schools, and those wanting to know more about the exciting careers that are available in ATTTO’s industries.
The DVD features different sections for four industries Aviation, Travel, Tourism and Museums and contains information on the type of personnel attributes required to work in these industries, some of the career paths available and how to get there,
The resource features two young presenters talking to people who are currently employed in the Aviation, Tourism, Travel and Museums sectors who are involved in training.
The delivery is an upbeat and at times humorous look at the enthusiastic people who work in these industries.
The DVD is available to schools and others in the career advising arena, Lucie Wenmakers, Business Development Manager for ATTTO and the mastermind behind the DVD, says that it is necessary to constantly think of ways to improve the delivery of careers information, and this DVD is fun, makes the best use of technology, is easily distributed and can be accessed when needed.
Split into separate areas, teachers and students can navigate straight to the area that they are most interested in.
While there is a great deal of information already available to students and those interested in these industries, the information is scattered and often hard to access. Often young people are aware of the offerings at tertiary institutions but many are not aware of the Gateway programme in High Schools or the option of becoming a Modern Apprentice or workplace trainee. This DVD gives an overview of the careers out there but also provides information on all the study and training options.
