The 'art of bath' celebrated at Sofitel Queenstown
Premier five-star hotel, Sofitel Queenstown, is redefining luxury by taking its ultimate bath experience to a whole new level.
Guests can now savour the services of a dedicated 'Bathologist' who will draw a bath and pre-prepare it to suit any mood, complete with bath pillow, robe and slippers - all laid out with a fresh flower.
"Guests can choose from our signature blend of essential oils to soothe, embrace and revitalise," said Sofitel Queenstown general manager Mark Wilkinson.
"It's a truly relaxing experience and we're already receiving rave reviews of the gorgeous Bathologist service."
Three Bathology packages offer guests the chance to pamper the body and soothe away tension in therapeutic bubbling water.
Options include 'Tranquility', featuring lavender, frankincense, chamomile, mandarin, bergamot and ylang ylang essential oils to calm the mind and emotions, and lift the spirits. This package comes complete with cooling eye mask, herbal tea, mineral water or French champagne.
A 'Unity' packages features exotic oriental scents of sandalwood, clove bud, ylang ylang, lime, myrrh and patchouli to promote relaxation, and encourage intimacy and communication. Unity comes with French champagne, rose petals, chocolate dipped strawberries and soulful tunes.
'Clarity' is infused with petitgrain (pronounced petty-gran), lime, lemongrass, mandarin, sweet orange and neroli fragrances to refresh the mind and body, boost the immune system and tone skin. An exfoliating body scrub, refreshing eye mask and herbal tea accompany this experience.
Specially built to host 'bathing-a-deux', every Sofitel Queenstown bathroom has an astonishingly deep double spa bath, created by UK design guru Sir Norman Foster.
"A bathology experience can also be rounded off nicely with our new in-room tranquillity, aromatherapy or deep tissue sports massages," said Mr Wilkinson.
Sofitel Queenstown features 70 opulent and stylish deluxe rooms, ten executive suites, two penthouse suites, and two levels of restaurants, bars and boutique retail, all in the finest location in the heart of Queenstown. Sofitel Queenstown has been named among the top 20 hotels in the world by prestigious Australian travel magazine Gourmet Traveller, and was named the best New Zealand CBD Property in the HM Awards for Hotel and Accommodation Excellence.
