Foodstuffs and BP join forces to reduce petrol prices for customers

Foodstuffs and BP New Zealand today announced they were joining forces to launch the Discount Fuel Docket programme, further reducing petrol prices for customers.

Customers who spend $40 (in one transaction) at any participating New World or Pak’nSave store will receive a fuel discount voucher redeemable for 4 cents a litre off petrol and diesel at any participating BP service station.

Foodstuff’s New Zealand Director Tony McNeil said ”We are pleased to be able to offer our customers yet another way to save money. This programme now allows us to offer customers at all our New World and Pak’nSave supermarkets around the country a discount fuel offer.”

“Existing New World and Pak’nSave supermarkets who currently offer discount fuel, will continue to provide this great service. These stores will not also be offering the Discount Fuel Docket programme,” he said.

In addition to the 4 cent per litre saving, customers will still be able to earn Fly Buys points at New World and AA Rewards points at BP (on qualifying purchases) when earning and redeeming Discount Fuel vouchers.

BP’s Managing Director Peter Griffiths said “We are very excited to announce another initiative to save our customers money. The Discount Fuel Docket programme is something we have been working closely with Foodstuffs on for the last year and builds on our commitment to bring cheaper fuel prices to our customers in any way we can.”

“We recognise that high global fuel prices have an impact on New Zealanders. Discount Fuel Dockets is another way BP is helping to reduce that impact.”

Discount Fuel Dockets will commence in early November at participating stores around the country.

A list of participating Foodstuffs supermarkets and BP stations will be made available online soon at both www.bp.co.nz and www.foodstuffs.co.nz .
