NZB Breeze Up Reminder

The official Breeze Ups for New Zealand Bloodstock's forthcoming Ready to Run Sale of Two-Year-Olds will go ahead as scheduled on Thursday and Friday this week (26 & 27 October). They will be conducted at the Waikato Racing Club's Te Rapa Racecourse in Hamilton starting at 10:30am each day.

With a wet Labour Day meeting at Te Rapa over the weekend, consideration was given to moving the Breeze Ups to next week. Marketing Manager, Petrea Vela, however confirmed that the Breeze Ups would go ahead this week as planned: "Although much of the North Island has experienced heavy rain and we do have two contingency days booked for next week in case we need it, the forecast for Thursday and Friday this week is for fine weather while more rain is expected next week. We therefore intend to go ahead and conduct the Breeze Ups this week as planned. Any change to this will be posted on our website, and broadcast on Radio Trackside, before 9am Thursday (tomorrow) morning."

Sale horses will be filmed and timed galloping over the final 200m of the straight, either singly or in pairs.

DVDs and CD-Roms of all the horses that breeze up will be available upon request from NZB from October 31st. Breeze Up clips will also be available online at www.nzb.co.nz.
