Strategy Execution Workshop - First with public sector focus
16 October 2006: The Balanced Scorecard Collaborative (BSCol), the only firm led by Balanced Scorecard creators Kaplan and Norton and used extensively in New Zealand for performance management, are hosting a live two-day workshop in New Zealand, to be held in Auckland on the 24th & 25th of October.
This is the third year in which this workshop has been run responding to the increased use of the Balanced Scorecard in New Zealand.
“This year we are offering a specific public sector dimension with break-out sessions for public service participants,” says Dale Pearce, Managing Director of Frameworks Ltd, a Wellington-based professional services firm associated with BSCol and who are facilitating these sessions.
The Balanced Scorecard was developed by eminent management experts Drs. Robert S Kaplan and David P Norton and is increasingly used by managers in NZ as a framework for translating strategy into achievable operational objectives.
“Research has shown that less than 10% of strategies effectively formulated are effectively executed. This workshop will show delegates from a variety of industries how to design tailored scorecards for their organisation and develop frameworks for effective strategy execution” says Pearce.
Since its inception in New Zealand a decade ago, there has been widespread adoption of the Balanced Scorecard in both public and private sector organisations. This is a great opportunity for delegates to experience a ‘hands on’ approach to executing strategy effectively and to hear from executives implementing the Balanced Scorecard in Australia and the US.
