Singapore Airlines Honoured at TTG Travel Awards

16 October 2006

Singapore Airlines Honoured at 17th TTG Travel Awards

Singapore Airlines has been honoured as a member of the exclusive TTG Travel Hall of Fame for the fifth consecutive year. This special award pays tribute to an elite group of companies, which have won the Travel Award at least ten times since the annual awards were inaugurated in 1989.

Singapore Airlines was first inducted in 2000.

“We are very pleased with the commemoration as a member of TTG’s Hall of Fame for the fifth year running,” says Sak-Hin Chin, General Manager New Zealand. “This award recognises Singapore Airlines’ mission to constantly innovate and keep pace with the ever-changing lifestyle preferences of our customers.”

“We thank our customers for the support that they have shown all these years by voting for us. These awards serve as a great encouragement to our staff to continue with their good work and strive to do better. Singapore Airlines is able to maintain its position as a leading premium airline through the years because staff have constantly risen to the challenge and delivered excellent results,” he adds.

The Travel Hall of Fame seeks to establish a permanent home in honour of the Asia-Pacific travel industry’s companies and organisations which are consistently recognised as leaders in their field. Inductees are conferred the title of Travel Hall of Fame Honorary. To date, only four companies have been inducted to the Hall of Fame. Having already been conferred the Honorary title, these four companies will no longer compete in the subsequent Travel Awards. In honour of their achievements, TTG will continue commemorate them annually.

Readers of publications from the TTG stable and its online e-daily news vote, based on a listed set of criteria, for companies and organisations that they perceive best deserve the various awards.
