A fresh look at BRANZ

MEDIA RELEASE

A fresh look at BRANZ

01 October 2006

BRANZ Ltd revealed its new look recently to a group of local government and industry insiders at separate functions in Wellington and Auckland.

The shape of the new logo and associated corporate livery conveys hints of the building and construction industry, from which BRANZ draws nearly 40% of its research funding and to which it delivers technical knowledge and skills.

Over 50% of BRANZ’ research work is commissioned through commercial interests and is of direct benefit to the building industry in New Zealand. In recent years BRANZ has found its research-based skills to be in strong demand internationally and this has been reflected in a growing international client base.

The outcomes from all BRANZ research is ultimately used to strengthen the content of BRANZ knowledge transfer programmes, which are made available to building professionals and members of the public through a number of educational initiatives.

According to BRANZ CEO Peter Robertson, “BRANZ provides research services with the ability to create change within the industry. Over the past 18 months, we have put a lot of thought into the development of systems and processes which will deliver our strategic goals and which reflect our promise that we are scientifically accurate and operationally thorough in what we do. Taking a fresh look at our brand is one way of signalling our commitment to communicating more strongly with all our clients, suppliers and associates.”
