New Model for Camera House N.Z.
Mike Machida, Chief Executive Officer of Fujifilm Holdings Australasia Pty Ltd announced today that agreement has been reached with Hugh Eastwood, Managing Director of the Eastmon Group of Companies, to take over the management and marketing of Camera House New Zealand.
“We are very pleased to form this business partnership with Hugh Eastwood,” said Mr Machida. “His very successful business model is at the forefront of the current evolution from traditional to digital photography and it is our intention to integrate this business model into Camera House New Zealand.”

Speaking from his company headquarters in Glen Innes, Australia, Mr Eastwood stated: “We continue to see huge potential in the business of printing at retail stores from Digital Cameras and I see Camera House as the best platform to drive this digital print revolution in New Zealand.
We have worked very closely with Fujifilm over the past five years in both the Eastmon Digital Photo Stores and Rabbit Photo chain developing our digital printing model and it is very exciting to be taking this next step in our business relationship.” He also stated that their business management systems, developed over the past 10 years, will be integrated into Camera House at the earliest opportunity.
Dave Marshall, Director of Fujifilm Holdings Australasia Pty Ltd, commented that this announcement confirms the company’s commitment to the future of digital printing through the retail photographic channel. Mr. Marshall stated: “We see a bright future both for our Camera House stores and the broader retail photographic channel. We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with Hugh Eastwood and the Eastmon Group of Companies.”
