MEDIA RELEASE
Coopers Creek Launch a New SV (Select Vineyards) Wine Label
Coopers Creek’s owners, Andrew and Cynthia Hendry, will today host a tasting to key media and industry guests launching
a new SV wine label.
This range has been developed to celebrate the winery’s philosophy of growing the various grape varieties in the regions
where they perform best
“Marketed under a Select Vineyards theme this new wine label allows us to promote wines of distinction and uniqueness.
The Arneis, we believe, is the first of this variety to be bottled and available in New Zealand and we hope will be very
attractive to our restaurant and fine wine retail customers, who are always looking for something less commercial and
more individual to suit their clientele” says Jason Wilkinson, Marketing & Sales Manager for Coopers Creek. “It’s very exciting to be rolling out this new label, which will offer a point of
difference as well as adding further integrity to our very successful Classic and Reserve label wines”
The initial launch will see five wines released, from three different wine regions. Further varietals including
Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Alborino are planned for the future and each wine will be personalised, featuring its
own individual character name. Released today are;
2006 SV Marlborough Pinot Gris ‘The Pointer’
2006 SV Gisborne Arneis ‘The Little Rascal’
2006 SV Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc ‘Dillons Point’
2006 SV Hawkes Bay Viognier ‘Chalk Ridge’
2004 SV Hawkes Bay Merlot / Cabernet Franc ‘Gravels and Metals’
